I have a new sister, baby Natalie. At the moment, she doesn't know how to play with me.
All she does is to drink milk, stretch and make funny sounds and poopoo. But Mummy

Grandma and I like March, June and December because Mummy doesn't have to work and that's when Ah Ma gets to rest. Even I get a break from my playclub lessons. Papa and Mummy have more time to bring me out.

I have attended one term of playclub lessons. Mummy wants to update the pictures she has taken but somehow the computer cannot detect the pictures in her mobile phone!

I enjoy all my lessons especially the parts in which I get to sing and dance. I am looking forward to more lessons!

I Have My Own Bed Now

Papa just helped converted my baby cot into a toddler bed. Now I can sleep on my own and not squeeze with Papa and Mummy. But I still need some time to get used to my own bed... for now, Papa puts a mattress right below my bed to catch me when I roll off... What to do? Have gotten too used to having a huge sleeping area and have to make do with my less than King-sized bed now... but regardless, it is now a bed to call my own!

Seeing the World From a Different Perspective

Why is everyone walking upright? Will the world be a diffferent place if we walk with our hands? I wonder how using a different perspective to see the world will make a difference.

Well... looking at the world upside down is real fun! I see my papa and mummy upside down and always have a good laugh when they are so tickled by my antics.

My Super Mummy

I have a super mummy whom I love to be carried by. She also loves to carry me as long as I make some small request for her to do so. My mummy is a super mummy who has managed to multi-task extremely well while carrying me. Even while cooking my meals, my mummy is also able to manage with one hand while carrying me in the other.

I Can Stand By Myself

While I may not have my teeth yet at 10 months old, I now am able to stand by myself when I feel like it. When I really really feel like it, I am even able to shift around while holding on to the table or sofa.

Mummy and Papa thinks my teeth should be coming out soon since they can feel the rough jaggedness on my lower front gum... Maybe my next photo will be one of me with teeth ^_^

9 Months Old and Growing

I have just crossed the 9 months old mark and just picked up the technique of pouty lips and an increase in picking up books.

That is me practising my pouting while figuring out how to read. I know, I know... the book is upside down but I am just a novice in reading now but trust me... I will get better over time!

Despite being a smaller baby being in the 25th percentile, I have been developing largely to expectations :-)

At 8 months old, I can now pull myself up to a standing position and happily view the world from a new and higher perspective!

Mummy and Papa brought me to the doctor recently. The doctor said I need to gain more weight. He said I'm at the 25th percentile. Now Mummy and Ah Ma are worried. Even Papa thinks i should eat a little more. But I'm sick and do not have a good appetite. Mummy and Ah Ma are trying all ways to make me eat.

I fell ill recently. It all started with a fever. It's the first time I have a running nose and cough as well!

I met Mummy' colleagues recently and made some new friends. I was also busy exploring what's around me. Mummy's friends have nice long hair and I couldn't help running my fingers through them! I hope to meet them again some time soon!

Hi everyone! Papa bought me a new present this week after seeing how much i enjoyed exploring Ah Ma's house in Claire jie jie's walker. I am now able to move anywhere I wish. Oops. Ah Ma says I'm not allowed near her plant. I plucked off 2 leaves last week. Ah Ma fears her plant will become "botak". Can someone tell me what "botak" means?

March School Holidays

Mummy went back to work this month and Ah Ma has been taking care of me. On Monday, I woke up at 9am and found Mummy beside sleeping me! Oops! Is Mummy late for school? Nope! It's the March school holiday and Mummy does not have to go to school! Yippee. We can have longer sleep hours. Mummy is going to let me try rice cereal this week. Does it taste as nice as apple puree?

New Year Visits

I visited many granduncles and grandaunties' houses during the festive period. Uncle Daniel helped to take many pictures of me with my Mummy, Papa, Ah Ma and my cousins.

Happy Chinese New Year

This is the 1st time I'm celebrating Chinese New Year. Mummy and Papa brought me to Ah Ma's house for reunion lunch and everyone had lohei together. Everyone was busy tossing the food and I wonder why I wasn't given a pair of chopsticks just like Papa and Claire Jie Jie.

Two weeks later, Mummy's friends visited us to celebrate Mummy's and Auntie Clara's birthday with a cake and lohei again! Mummy says I will join them in tossing when I become a big girl.

Over at Ah Ma's House

Yesterday, Mummy brought me to Ah Ma's house. Have I mentioned that Ah Ma's bed is really comfortable? With the nice breeze coming in from the window, how can I resist a nap?

Mummy had a surprise when she came in to check on me.
I have fallen into the gap while I was asleep! Ah Ma thought a single bed is too dangerous as I have started to turn. Clever Ah Ma had put 2 beds together and stuffed the gap with small bolsters. If not, I would have fallen off!

My 1st Hair Cut

Ah Ma and Mummy brought me for my 1st haircut. Mummy is insistent that it is just a trim and I must not become botak. I'm a little girl afterall. Only boys look alrite botak. I had fun trimming my hair. The hairdresser auntie played peekaboo with me as she moves to and fro to cut my hair. How do I look now?

Voila! No more hair that stood up like before. Do you think it's a tad too short? Now my hair is neat and tidy for Chinese New Year. =)

Carrot Cake

Sometimes, when Mummy decides to take a rest from cooking, we will visit the nearby food court for local delights.
Papa introduced me to something called the local fried carrot cake. He said it is yummy and will share it with me when I am older.

Growing From Strength to Strength

I am getting stronger by the day and am now able to hold my head up properly. Papa is excited and trying to get me to learn how to flip over soon. I still am not able to flip on my own so don't be misled by the picture below... It was just Papa putting me to lie on my stomach before sneaking a picture through the bars of my cot.

Lixuan Talking Already?

Mummy and Papa were impressed with me yesterday when some of the baby sounds I make sounded extremely like I was giving coherent replies to Mummy's questions.

Papa is worried about the possibility that Lixuan will start talking so well at 3 months old. Mummy assured Papa that this is not likely and most probably it is me repeating some familiar sounds from the frequent talks Mummy and Papa have been having with me.

Mummy! Do not assume I am the average baby for I am clever and will talk quite soon!

I am starting to realise that the little monkey. froggy and birdy circling above me are trying to make friends with me. I also try to be more friendly with them and try to tell them things that have happened to me through the day.

I love making my baby chuckles talking to them. Mummy and papa are always very amused by my happy chattering away and thinks I will grow up to be a very talkative girl :-)

I enjoy bath time just like my mummy. Whenever Mummy puts me in the tub, I will be very quiet. Mummy says I'm a very cooperative baby. Let me share a little secret. I'm actually a little worried that Mummy might drop me into the water. She told me she is still a greenhorn in bathing babies. But i think she is getting rather skilful. Look how happy I am!

My Little Best Friend

I found a new friend recently!

Papa introduced me to this new friend called "pacifier" and I am able to get to sleep much more easily than before and mummy can have a much easier time taking care of me since I quieten down much faster.

Papa thinks he has done an excellent recommendation to me while mummy is worried about me getting too attached to my "best friend".

Look at how contented I am with my "little best friend"! Sometimes it is still the littlest things that make my day much much brighter :-)
